Trains ran smoothly all the way. Marvelled at St Pancras station over a beer with friends - also managed to catch the treasures of the British Library round the corner from the staiton including the Magna Carta! Captain Scotts diary from the Antarctic, Columbus Log book and more. Thanks Bernard!
Enjoyed dinner and Kolsch lager in Koln station before night train through East Germany and Poland. Was waking at every stop hoping not to miss Poznan! Well I didnt and met Monika for the drive to the lakes. Driving required concentration as overtaking with on coming traffic is the norm here!
Spent 3 days swimming, sailing, attempted windsurfing and really enjoying the beautiful country (see pics) Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia are lovely seaside towns and Ports. Hard to imagine the sea freezing when it is so warm here now.
Off to Lithuania tomorrow, back on the train!
